Play two-suit Spider Solitaire online
Two-suit Spider mixes spades and hearts. You can still put any card on one rank higher, but only same-suit runs move together, and only a same-suit King to Ace run clears. It's the sweet spot between relaxed and hard.
What changes with two suits
The rules are the same as one-suit Spider, with one catch. A 6 of hearts can sit on a 7 of spades, but the two won't move together as a run, and they won't clear. Mixed stacks are allowed. They just slow you down.
- Goal: eight runs from King to Ace, each all in one suit.
- Building: any card on a card one rank higher, any suit.
- Moving: only runs that are in order and in one suit move as a group.
- Dealing: five deals from the stock, only when no column is empty.
How to get better at it
- Build in suit whenever you can choose. If a 5 of hearts could go on a 6 of hearts or a 6 of spades, pick the heart.
- Use mixed stacks as parking. Putting a card on the wrong suit is fine as a stepping stone, as long as you have a plan to fix it.
- Unmix before you deal. The five deals pile cards onto everything. Tidy what you can first.
- Undo is not cheating here. Trying a line and backing out is how most people learn two-suit Spider.

Questions people ask
- What is the difference between 1-suit and 2-suit Spider?
- In one-suit Spider every card is a spade. In two-suit Spider half the cards are hearts, and only runs in a single suit can be moved together or cleared.
- Can I put a heart on a spade?
- Yes. Any card can go on a card one rank higher, whatever the suit. The run just will not move or clear as a group until it is all one suit.
- Is two-suit Spider hard?
- It is noticeably harder than one suit. Many games are winnable with careful play and a few undos.
- How many deals do I get?
- Five. Each one adds a card to every column.
